Opportunity to give blood is next week

As you scroll through the “interwebs” this weekend, why not scroll over to the American Red Cross sign-up page and register for the July 31st blood drive at our station?

You know it’s the right thing to do. Quite possibly, you will save a life of a person from the West Michigan region. We are right in the middle of “trauma season” where blood is used to sustain life during surgery and procedures resulting from outdoor accidents and activities in which people get hurt.

While you are here, meet YOUR Graafschap firefighters! Fire stations can be intimidating to the general public, but we want you to feel comfortable in your publicly owned building. We will gladly give you a tour and answer any questions you may have.

So, please consider giving up an hour of time and a pint of blood. Don’t worry, your body will make more brand new blood. Go to Red Cross.org and search 49423 or GFD to register. If you can’t find the time or just can’t get registered, simply come in next Thursday, July 31 from 10:00-3:45 and fill a slot. This blood drive only, you will receive a free movie ticket.
