GFD visits Toys for Tots drop-off locations

On Saturday, members of the Graafschap Fire Department delivered toys to locations in their service area that are collection points for the Marine Corps Reserve – Toys for Tots.

This year, 3 locations were identified as drop off spots. Knob Hill Again and Graafschap Hardware were the first stops. Toys were delivered to Gerber Collision during the week due to store hours.

Toys were purchased with some of the proceeds from the Annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast. Thanks to one of our spouses, Angie Grumney, and her keen sense of shopping we were able to capture some very good deals right when things went on sale after Thanksgiving. She also gets credit for all the pictures.

Along with the other charities we support, Toys for Tots means a lot to our staff. Most of us have children, so we understand the excitement that happens with little ones at Christmas. We want to make sure we can do our part and possibly make a positive difference on Christmas morning.
