Fire Prevention Week Approaching

Sun, Oct 5, 2025 – Sat, Oct 11, 2025 is National Fire Prevention Week. There will be many activities and fire safety messages throughout the country and right here in our West Michigan towns. Each day for the next few weeks, we will be posting a new safety message on our Facebook page. Click HERE for the link.

The Graafschap Fire Department will again be involved in the Annual Fire Truck Parade:

Fri, October 3, 2025  | 7PM

The annual Fire Truck Parade will roll down 8th Street on Friday, October 3, beginning at 7:00 pm! Salute our local heroes at this popular event, featuring fire trucks from across the region. The parade will begin at the corner of 8th Street and Columbia Avenue, then continue west until it reaches the Holland Civic Center Place, where the West Michigan Fire Prevention Council will be hosting an open house in the Civic Center Parking lot from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm complete with demonstrations, giveaways, and more!

We will also be visiting our local schools with a safety house and providing fire gear demonstrations and handing out safety information. See you around the district!!
